This weeks theme is Buttons or Orange

I've used some of the latest sentiments from Quietfire Design. I think they're my favorite sentiment stamps so far. It's a sentiment I always say. and it is "just because..."

A while back I made a bunch of air dry polymer clay buttons which were still in their natural color, so pulled out a few and painted them with acrylic paint in a light gold color. I then added some of my latest Perfect Pearl color "Biscotti" love it. You can see a close up of them below. They're scrumptious...

I die cut the largest heart from Spellbinders Nested heart set from cream toned cardstock. Sponged some Fired Brick all over with a stronger coloring in the decorated area and clear embossed that section only. adhered my buttons, then in the open spaces, added some two way glue and Stampendous Crystal Snow White.

Embossed the main cream toned card with Cuttlebug Winter Frolic set. Its supposed to be a 5 x 7 folder, but they're always too short. So ran part of the folder through my machine, then extended the folder and used my mallet to emboss the rest of it. "Custom embossing".

I put a little slit in the top section and threaded an orange gauze ribbon through it. it's a wide ribbon so folded it in thirds, then attached the bottom section to the back of the heart, also with a little slit then onto the card. Added a separate peg bow "a la Becca".

Stamped the sentiments with Versafine Black Onyx and die cut them with Spellbinders Fancy Tags "custom cut" smaller to fit my stamping. Sponged some Dried marigold on the edges.
