"Dream - Calli Dream Big"  card
Size: 7"w x 5"h

This weeks theme is Have a Dream.

I'm still on a roll with doing funky style calligraphic letters and using Spellbinder's dies. This is just so easy to do.

The flourishes in the letters are from Quietfire Design.

The easiest way to get some nice lettering if you are not a calligrapher is to go to your word processing program on your computer. Choose bold graphic type letters and choose a size somewhere between 120 & 150. Print it out and roughly cut around each letter to separate them from each other. Scribble on the back of each of these pieces with an HB pencil to get a faux carbon. Then just place each letter on your card or whatever, tilting them and overlapping them till you get a pleasing result. Trace the outline of the letter (the pencil scribble on the back will transfer on to your cardstock), then using a black permanent marker like a Micron pen or a Zig Writer, outline your letters. You're now ready to color in each letter.

For this card I used a glossy cardstock and Tombow watercolor markers. It almost felt like coloring with Copics. I went over areas again with the same color to get a deeper tone, then touched it with a water brush. Cut a mask from some tracing paper and stamped the flourishes with pigment ink and embossed with Queen's Gold.

Die cut the Spellbinders Labels Large, again traced the edges of the letters, transferred that to the labels die cut and cut out the tracing. Adhered to card. Wrote in the words with a Micron pen. Drew and colored in the black bar. Adhered this to the deep purple Bazzill Monochrome side folded card. Added the 3 large rose toned rhinestones.
