Created: August 9, 2011 This weeks theme is Rainbow Colors or Wings I've used a Birthday Stamp and a Friendship stamp by Quietfire Design. I had these leftover pieces of Sookwang tape stuck to some cardstock - the centers were removed for previous projects, but I knew one day these leftovers would come in handy... |

So I trimmed each to create
about a 3mm frame border, adhered it to my cardstock in a random
fashion, removed the release paper and sprinkled Ritz micro fine Glitter
Black, burnished well and removed all the excess. I then colored the
various open areas with Derwent watercolors both regular and Intense,
then moved the color around with a moist water brush.
I had another piece of glittered cardstock that was a little failure... I had stamped a quote on the glitter, but it didn't stand up enough, so it went into the discard pile. I punched 3/4" circles from it and adhered them to the card in a pleasing arrangement. Stamped my Birthday sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx. Wrote my words "My Friend" with a Micron pen. Masked areas and stamped the "best friends forever" along the edge of the rectangles. Embossed the white area with a Sizzix "Lines & Circles" embossing folder (set # 655837) using my hard rubber mallet to get the embossing where I wanted it. I added the aqua blue border using a Bic Mark-It marker. Added various sizes and colors of rhinestones. |
