Created: August 16, 2011 This weeks theme is Birthday I've used a Happy Birthday sentiment stamp as well as various stamps from the Mini set by Quietfire Design. |
I love these buttons.
Basically all it is is various sized overlapping circles, cut out,
colored and holes punched for button holes. It's just all these fun
patterns and colors that I love I think... I made a couple masks for
coloring to give the faux look of some on top and some underneath.
Stamped the designs with Perfect Medium and clear embossed. Colored with
Tombow watercolor markers - just straight from the pen, no mixing or
blending - just pure unadulterated color. Made a diagonal line across the card front, masked off one part and stamped the Birthday sentiment repeatedly using Pumice Stone and clear embossing. Used my hard rubber mallet to emboss the other side with the Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder. Sponged the high points with the Pumice and clear embossed. adhered the buttons on top of the diagonal line using Glossy Accents. Stamped the circle/words "You're sew nice" using a Just Right "Brayton" alphabet set and a circle from the Card Making Kit using the black. Hand cut it out, sponged some Victorian Velvet around the edges and adhered it with 3D pop dots. |
