August 23/11  "Purple Grapes"

This weeks theme is Purple

I've used a quote stamp by Quietfire Design.
I made a circle stamp from a scrap piece of rubber. Applied Distress Dusty Concord onto my craft mat, misted and pressed my stamp into the wetness, then onto my card front in a random pattern.

Found a grape leaf image on line, cut it out and used it as a stencil to apply my Crushed Olive and Forest Moss. I then added veining with a micron pen and squiggles with a Zig Writer.

Stamped my quote with Versafine Black Onyx. Sponged some Dusty concord around the edges and then went over it with Worn Lipstick.

Cut out the butterfly and blackout using an electronic cutter. I applied Distress Dusty Concord all over and embossed with Amethyst. For the blackout, I smeared Distress Mustard Seed, Marigold, misted with water and smeared through the wetness. Adhered the two layers together and added a body.
