The theme this week is Gratitude

I had this piece of painted glitter I made a few weeks back and decided to put one of my new bird images from Starving Artistamp on it. This is a Timney Grey (artistic license used for the colors) BIG GRIN. I picked up a bunch of blue colored papers from my scrap bin and one of them had a large circle cut out from it - and the rest is history.

So, to create the bird glitter paper, I put a piece of wide (2.5") Sookwang tape onto a piece of white cardstock. Removed the release paper and put Ritz Micro Fine glitter, Cool Highlights, burnished really well, and brushed of any excess. Dribbled, dropped and moved Ecoline Inks (works well with Distress reinkers - but use a waterbrush to pick up color, or artist grade watercolors). using an empty water brush. When dry, rubber stamped the bird image (Starving Artistamp "Timneh Grey #03") using Versafine Black Onyx. Cut out around the bird and drew in hand made lines with a Sharpie to extend the branch. Rubber stamped the Daisy flowers (one flower from Stubby Stampers "Daisy Bunch #2988") with the black and cut them out

Cut out a circle at #85 using my EK Success Orbis Circle Scissors from both the blue cardstock and on the front of my main white card. Trimmed down the blue one to fit within the confines of the card, matching the circle opening. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) at the bottom with the black and clear embossed it. Rubber stamped the "Thank You" also from Quietfire Design, first stamping on a piece of tracing paper so I could position the word to peek through the window where I wanted it, then stamped with the black and clear embossed.

Used a Cuttlebug Folder "Victoria" #37-1916 and my rubber mallet to emboss the design around the edges of my white card.

Used a piece of left over Graffix Clear plastic I had streaked with Alcohol Inks to simulate a cloudy sky (Pool, Sailboat Blue, Denim, blender & a dirty felt with some magenta on it). Adhered it to the front of the card over the opening. Adhered my blue piece over that.

Adhered my bird elements, on the plastic I used Glossy Accents and on the cardstock sections I used PVA.

As a final touch I added some Copper Micro Fine Glitter for the centers of the flowers.

you can see some of the glitz from the glitter on these flowers, but in real it has a just right amount of a beautiful shimmer to it.
