This weeks theme is play. I can identify with that word, since it's something I do every day when I'm creating.

I really wanted to use one of my Spellbinder's pendant dies and this one just seemed to fit the bill. I haven't gotten into all the layering that can be done with these dies, maybe one day.

So I die cut 7 spade shapes from the "Spades" #S4-208 set from some red scrapbook paper. Arranged them in a circle to get the size I need to cut my gold parchment toned cardstock. Glued them down and rubber stamped my words "Queen of" (Quietfire Design) using Distress stamp pads "Red Brick" and touch a few spots with "Blue Jeans". Adhere it to the blue cardstock which was then adhered to a gold parchment cardstock. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine stamp pad "Red Satin" and embossed with "Chinese Red".

Colored some white cardstock with Pan Pastels in red, blue, green and yellow, both sides and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with various embossing folders. Red - D'Vine Swirls, Blue - Paisley (Sizzix), Green - Swiss Dots, and Yellow - Circles & Dots. Punched out the word PLAY using the Sizzix alphabet die set "Fun Serif - Upper Case" and used the remaining pieces of the cardstock as a background. adhered everything and inserted the backgrounds slightly under the blue cardstock and letting some of the letters float on top.
