I wanted to do something with a bit of weaving, but it wasn't until I scanned it that I realized the weaving fell into straight strips instead of alternate patterns. OK so I did that intentionally...

I used two colors of Bazzill Monochromatic cardstock in pink and olive tones. Used some Sookwang tape on the back and cut out my various width strips. Wove them and stuck them down to my cream toned cardstock. Rubber stamped the large flourishes (Quietfire Design Flourish set) masking and protecting the areas I didn't want the stamping to go on and then thermal embossed them with Hematite (like black) embossing powder. Lay down my size, Mona Lisa size with a touch of yellow gouache, which gives a warmer under layer to the gold and is easier to see when applying it. Used composition gold. All gilding supplies are available through Quietfire Design. Added my dry embossing design elements, then colored in some of the flourishes with colored pencils.

The word sentiments are my calligraphic Peel Offs sold under Els label at ecraftdesigns.com. There are are over a dozen themes with different style lettering on each sheet, and they come in black, white, gold & silver.
