I started out looking through my collection of images and finding pictures I like that represented the Deco style. Scanned them, then took portions that i wanted and put them into ATC sizes. Printed it out and traced the outlines. Outlined them with a black micron pen, then colored them in with watercolor pencils. I just bought some new brands I'm trying out, Faber Castell which are creamier than my Derwent pencils and the Inktense by Derwent which are fabulous. Soooo creamy and "intense" color. The black in the ATCs is a Pentel mini pocket brush (love the black in there). Then I added rhinestones, or sequins with a rhinestone, or a big floral faux rhinestone, or 3D fabric paint to imitate the pearls (color: pearl white) and several strands of brown fun fur for the hat. I love the textural look of each ATC. Mounted them onto a matching cardstock.
