Slide Mount & Embossed Elements Series
For this ATC, I used a tool similar to a "Score-it" tool |
ID: SlideMount-Harmony |
Detail |
I scored lines every 3/4" both horizontally and
vertically. I used an Adirondack multi color ink pad and rubbed it across
the tiles. I sponged through a Dreamweaver Stencil (Asian Word for
Harmony) with Dew
Drops Crimson Copper and heat embossed it with Plum Pearl embossing powder
then shadow outlined it with a black micron pen.
The 3 dimensional embellishment is a slide mount that has been altered. I used a white plastic slide mount (only one part of it) and pounced alcohol inks onto the textured side of the mount using Adirondack Denim & Cranberry, then edged the mount with a Krylon Gold Leafing pen and rubber stamped an Asian text block rubber stamp using Dew Drops Black (should have used Staz-On but I don't like working with it). Heated the mount with a heat gun (on a metal baking tray) and when slightly distorted and still hot, pressed a piece of wood (or back of a wood mounted rubber stamp) down onto the hot mount to get it to lay flat. When cool used a clear emboss pad over the whole mount and plum pearl embossing powder. Heated it again, which melted the embossing powder but also distorted the slide some more, and while the powder was in the melted state, sprinkled some holeless gold beads. I attached it to my card with Golden's heavy gel medium intertwining a string of gold pearl beads. Added the word Harmony with a black micron pen
