I have this book I picked out from our Guild's library on Illumination. Nice stuff, but looks pretty tedious to me, not normally my cup of tea... But I thought I'd try a couple in ATC sizes. They definitely need some improvement - BIG GRIN.

The poinsetia below the illuminated ATCs are done with a brass stencil and my Cuttlebug on white cardstock which I covered with some kind of painted red paper I acquired. Then I rubbed some Rub Ons over the surface (silver on one and gold on the other). Added the words Merry Christmas with a micron pen. Mounted them to green cardstock.

I drew in my letter "P" then outlined it with a black micron pen, painted the letter with various colors of Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and moved the  color around with a water brush. I then applied the gold leaf using Jerry Tresser's size on Pear # 1 & Roberson's Water Gold Size on Pear #2. Added a Peel Off's pear and the monoline lettering. On Pear #2 I used a very small Mitchel nib and Sumi ink, then mounted them onto bright red cardstock.
