PP Challenge June 2007 Shaker ATC's |
The first two shakers, I used mat board and cut out the areas I wanted the sand to fall in. for the clear plastic I used unprinted areas from a printed acetate sheet that I picked up for a few cents on sale. Lightly sprayed it with Static Guard (let dry) then attached it to my card and mat board. |

I mixed some various colored decorative sand to mimic the color of tea. When the card is tipped the sand streams out of the spout and into the cup. I love this one. The teapot is a rubber stamp (Old Island #469C) which I colored in with watercolor pencils. The teacup is hand drawn. The lettering is a burgundy Zig marker. Mounted onto a green cardstock. Quote: Come have a cup of tea with me, my house is warm, my friendship's free. This is one of my most favorite quotes.

I used a scrapbook paper. Cut out the hourglass shape. Wrote part of my quote, right side up, and the remainder upside down so when you are turning the hour glass to see the sand fall through, you get to read the rest of the quote. I used a yellow decorative sand. Quote: The more sand that escapes from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see thru it. Jean Paul Sartre |

Again I used a scrapbook paper for the background (pink floral). Used watch lens covers for the glasses with a piece of pink paper underneath. Wrapped a copper wire decoratively around the lenses to mimic eyeglasses. Adhered it to my ATC with Golden's soft gel medium. Wrote my words with a black micron pen. Mounted it onto pink cardstock. Filler: clear and pink holeless beads & "love" & "you" confetti. Quote: Looking at life thru rose colored glasses.
