Dry embossed with flourishes from "Love is in the Air" set on Blue Iris Shimmer Sheetz. Painted over the whole piece with Sumi ink (black acrylic paint will also work), waited for it to dry a bit, then wiped some of it off with a paper towel. Let dry completely. Adhered to a black cardstock. Added two silver star shaped nailheads and two silver brads, mainly to make sure my shimmer sheetz didn't come loose. |

Els challenged us to create ATCs with Shimmer Sheetz (available through ecraftdesigns.com). Love that product. Has such a nice shimmer to it and is quite versatile. You can stamp on it, emboss it, sand it, glitter it (positive & negative), shape it (and it will hold it's shape), and the list can go on. You need to play with it. BIG GRIN |

Snowflakes punched from Blue Iris shimmer Sheetz, some adhered with 3D adhesive squares. Words (CC Designs "Snowflakes" set) stamped with Perfect medium and thermal embossed with white. Layered onto a light blue cardstock. |

Dry embossed with Asian Bundle Set "Japanese Screen" folder, high points brayered with Perfect medium and thermal embossed with blue on blue cardstock. Fish stamped onto punched Yellow Iris shimmer Sheetz and hand cut out. adhered to ATC with 3D adhesive squares. Gel globs added for bubbles. Glass eye added. Words written with Micron pen "Somethings Fishy". Layered onto black cardstock | .

Dry embossed with Deco Set, large frame on white cardstock, brayered high points with Perfect medium and thermal embossed with black. Cut the frame apart and cut out around the design, layered onto black cardstock. Stamped shoe (Hero Arts "High Heels" set) onto a piece of tracing paper, then used it as a template to cut my Pink Iris Shimmer Sheetz. Dry embossed with a swirl folder in shoe area only (not the heel section), brayered high points with Perfect Medium and embossed with Marcasite. Adhered to ATC. Stamped the saying (same set) and embossed with Pink. Added the fringy trim with a piece of wire to back of ATC, then layered this onto the deep pink cardstock. Added the pinky half pearl. |

Dry embossed with Crafts Too "Swirl Frame" on dark bluish purple cardstock, cut out the section I wanted, brayered with Perfect medium and thermal embossed with Twilight. Die cut the stars (Sizzix Bigz "Primitive Stars"). Smallest one from Blue iris Shimmer Sheetz colored with Alcohol Inks in a horizontal streaked pattern. Next size from silver Shimmer Sheets, and last one from white cardstock and then sponged with blue. The top two where adhered with 3D adhesive squares so the ATC is about 1/4" thick. Added a clear rhinestone star. |

Dry embossed with Sizzix Swirls folder on dark blue cardstock. Layered about 8 layers of tissue paper, colored with distress pads and sprayed with water to make everything run. Dried with hair dryer. Die cut all the layers in one shot with Tim's Tattered Flowers die. Die cut a smaller of the flowers, colored with yellows, then added an orangey floral brad to hold it all together. Black pen pounced for speckles. Die cut the wings from Pink Iris Shimmer Sheetz using Tim's "Fanciful Flight" die. Ironed some Angelina fibers together and then used the solid die wing shape. The body was colored with brown and then all assembled and adhered to the flower. The butterfly literally stands up. Words (Quietfire Design "Queen of" and "the last minute") stamped with black on white cardstock, sponged with Worn Lipstick and adhered to card. | .

Die cut the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments, sponged color (Mustard Yellow, Dried Marigold), misted with water and dried. Dry embossed with "Friends Forever" set, high points brayered with perfect Medium and embossed with Queen's Gold. The other ornament was die cut from Black iris Shimmer Sheetz, dry embossed with the Crafts Too "Swirl Frame" folder, high points sanded to remove the shimmer. Used a Scor-It board to make a linear frame in dark bluish purpley cardstock. Adhered my larger ornament, then used 3D adhesive squares for the small ornament. Added one of my calligraphic white Peel Offs sentiments. |

This and the next ATC use the same Deco dry embossing folder on Black Iris Shimmer Sheetz. I used my Scor-It to make a horizontal line in the design where I need to cut it for an ATC size. On this one I sanded the negative or back side so the floral area remained shimmery. Mounted to a deep magenta cardstock. (my camera doesn't like purples) |

On this one I sanded the positive side or the front removing the shimmer from the floral area. Just as an aside, this is a perfect time to color or add something to the flowers when they are in a rough state. (will have to remember to do this one day) Layered to a minty green cardstock. Pink rhinestones were added. |

Another from the Deco set on Yellow Iris Shimmer Sheetz. Used a glue pen and variegated gold leaf on the rays. The dark bluish purpley background was colored with Distress Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire on white cardstock until it was saturated with color. Dried, then dry embossed with Tim's "Rays" folder and high points sanded down. Words added with a white gel pen. Adhered to a bright yellow cardstock and an amber star added. |

Dry embossed a Gold Metallic Shimmer Sheetz using the mesh folder. Alcohol inks pounced onto surface and dried. Waxed with some Dorland's wax and buffed to a nice smooth shine. Used the American Traditional Cut & Fold template "Large Wide Arrow" and cut my design into the Shimmer Sheetz, folded over the sections and layered it onto a Textura pearlized off white cardstock. Had dried some flowers and leaves with my Lee Valley Microwavable flower drying press and adhered them to the ATC with PPA adhesive. |
