I love playing with polymer clay and I just got 3 new books that have such gorgeous pics inside, I couldn't resist playing again. So I rolled out some canes (reddish mix), wrapped them with white, then with a grey mix. Cut off a piece and continued to roll the cane until quite a bit thinner. Sliced a bunch off and lay them side by side, then added a few from the original cane so there were some small and large designs. Lay a piece of black over it all and ran through the pasta machine at a thick setting so it wouldn't squish too much. Cut it in the Sizzix Tipsy Heart shape using a cardstock template. Added the twisted coil around the heart and then baked it. The one on the left, when cooled, added a layer of Liquid Sculpey and rebaked till translucent. The receiver can remove it from the ATC and wear it. I signed it on the back with white Enamel Accents. The one on the right is not removable or wearable. |

I ran a piece of white cardstock through my Big Shot using the heart design folder from the Cuttlebug "Love is in the Air" set #2000221, first inking the folder with Aged Mahogany, then clear embossing the cardstock after it comes out of the machine. Layered it on to a deep reddish cardstock. Tied the heart with a red gauzy ribbon. Added one of my Calligraphic Peel Offs from the Love set on the ecraftdesigns.com label. |
I ran a piece of white cardstock through my Big Shot using the Cuttlebug Heart Block folder #37-1139, first inking the folder with Aged Mahogany, then clear embossing the cardstock after it comes out of the machine. Layered it on to a deep reddish cardstock. Attached the heart with a red heart brad. Added one of my Calligraphic Peel Offs from the Friend set on the ecraftdesigns.com label. |
The 3 metal ATCs below were colored with Alcohol inks. Art is done on silver Electrical/Plumbing tape. Dream is done on copper slug tape (available at Lee Valley). The Bird Friends was done on adhesive backed Gold shelf liner. Each was put through with an embossing folder (1st 2 with the Cuttlebug Tiny Mosaics, and the last one with Tim's Patchwork folder. I used a large balled stylus to carve my letters. I also used an alphabet set used to stamp onto metal for the word "Dream". The word "Friends" is one of my calligraphic Peel Offs under the ecraftdesigns.com label. They were all mounted to black cardstock. |

I colored these with Copics on coated glossy paper (I believe called Luna). | Cut out the ovals using an Evolving Images acrylic template, then adhering | it to various embossed backgrounds. |
