These are more backgrounds using a technique that I got from Rose D. This time I used the color washes straight rather than diluting them. The first two use (Denim, Plum and Eggplant) the third one used (Butterscotch, Raisin & Lettuce). The technique is simple, just brush onto a piece of white tissue paper some Gloss Medium (any brand) and while wet spray or mist on the color washes of your choice. Let dry then peel of from whatever your support was (I use a melt art mat or a large piece of glass, can also use waxed paper, but be careful when separating it). You can add glitter and other things while wet as well. I scrunched up my dried paper and used Golden's soft gel medium to adhere the paper to my aqua cardstock. I added holeless silver beads, gluing them down with my gel medium. Added the words with a silver gel pen. |

Scrunched and glued onto a scrap piece of cardstock and edged it with a Krylon Gold leafing pen. Rubber stamped the eye (Just Jhones "Pieces & Parts) with Brilliance Dew Drops Graphite Black onto white tissue paper. Trimmed that very close and glued it onto my ATC. Added the words "In the blink of an eye" with a Zig black marker. Mounted it onto an off white cardstock. |
Scrunched and glued onto a scrap piece of cardstock and then onto orange cardstock. Used my thermal embossing technique and gold embossing powder to write the words "Is this all there is?" I didn't embellish this one at all. The scrunched tissue was the design. |
