At my last face to face trading session, a friend had done some kimono glitter cards using micro glitter that she learnt at Stamper's Celebration. They were beautiful. I didn't have any micro glitter (yet...) but had some fine ones, so I thought I'd try it out. Basically you use a double sided tape either wide or full sheet types (the width of your design). Remove the bottom layer of release paper if there is one and adhere it to your cardstock or background paper. Rubber stamp or draw in your design on the top release paper. For each glitter color you will be using, cut out that section only, using an x-acto knife and carefully cutting around your design without cutting through the other layers. Remove the release paper from that design section and sprinkle your glitter. Press down so glitter adheres well to the adhesive tape. Cut out your next color section and repeat till your whole design is created and covered with glitter. |

I cut out a geometrical background and used Perfect Pearls and some Art Quest Mica Delights. Wrote my quote on a piece of tracing paper and attached it to the ATC with Diamond Glaze around the edges. Words: There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly. Richard Buckminster. |
This is another geometric design of harlequin squares done in blue and green glitter. I punched out the flower (Sizzlets die) from a piece of vellum and wrote my words in the central area. Mounted it to 2 background cardstocks using a Tulip cornet punch on each so they shadowed each other.. Words: Is this enough glitz? |
I cut out a wavy design and then punched the dragonflies only on the top release paper. Words: Clouds of insects danced & buzzed in the golden autumn light & the air was full of the piping of song birds. Long glinting dragonflies shot across the path or hung tremulous with gauzy wings and gleaming bodies. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle |

I used my Greek Border punch and sprinkled silver glitter. Wrote the words with a stardust gel pen. Words: It's all Greek to me. |
I punched with the Greek Border punch then put a strip tape on the under4side. Used Pan pastels to color the cardstock, then wrote in my words. Words: We (Greeks) are lovers of the beautiful, yet simple in our tastes, and we cultivate the mind without loss of manliness. Thucydides |
I used a rubber stamp for this heart design done on a piece of mat board, then mounted to some Bazill cardstock. Did the sewing border and the word "heart" with a gold gel pen. Words: I have a heart with room for every joy. Philip James Bailey |

Another wavy designed edge and punched with a leaf border punch. Drew the Kimono on the tape and and punched out a few leaves and glued it to a textured paper. Rubber stamped the Asian words "Creativity" |
Same Kimono design but butterflies punched out and the Asian word for Art. |
Used my Martha Stewart lace border punch both on the cardstock and on 2 separate pieces of adhesive. Words: When you're choosing a lace think about the subtle message. It's not about an age, it's about a mind set. Barbara Lipton |
