The first ATC I used a stylus on a rubber stamp with light weight copper and got this instead of a crisp design I was expecting. Then distressed with vinegar and salt for a couple days, then sanded lightly and waxed. The other two metal pieces were done on brass backed silver metal (I used the silver side), ran through my Cuttlebug with a floral border embossing folder, layered with Rheotech gesso, then painted, when dry, with acrylic metallic paints (Folk Art; Metallic Inca Gold, Metallic Blue Topaz, Rose Shimmer, Copper. From Deco Art; Metallics Glorious Gold). |

This was one of the Rheotech crackles using Deco Art Crackle medium. |

Also done with the Rose White |
Put a strip of double sided tape down , stuck on my metal piece then sprinkled Martha Stewart glitter "Peridot", and burnished. Used a Fiskar's border punch for the top section, put a piece of double sided tape over the cut outs, then mounted it to a pale green cardstock. Sprinkle Ritz Micro Fine glitter in Chartreuse, Dark Gold & Rose. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Olympia Green Versafine stamp pad. |
ID: Metal - Paint Flowers (unavailable) |
Put a vertical strip of double sided tape, stuck on my metal piece and sprinkled Glitter Ritz Micro fine glitter (Dark Gold and Rose). Then added a 3mm strip with "Warm Highlights". Mounted this to a deep pink cardstock. Punched out a border using EK Success "Morrocan Lace" from a Zyroned metallic paper. Added the words with a micron pen. Words: Qui pingit florem floris non pingit oderem. Who paints the flowers does not paint the scent. |
