| All of these start off
with several alcohol ink backgrounds both streaky and mottled either on
Pearlized "Cocoa" paper or glossy photo paper. Check out the samples of the various backgrounds I made
creating streaks and mottled patterns. Link at the bottom of the page.
They also all have some variation using the Cuttlebug "Script" embossing folder I just bought. Love it. I started with a beautiful greyish cardstock I got from a friend. The first three I colored the grey using Pan Pastels (purple and orange) and a sponge then through the Cuttlebug. Added a bit more color on the high points. Tore or cut my edges and on some added more purple on the torn edge. On the next three I ran it through the Cuttlebug first then colored the high points. |

Rubber stamped the word "Believe" using an alphabet stamp set (MSE Girlfriends #TT210) with gold stamp pad and Queen's Gold embossing powder then shadow outlined the letters with a black micron pen. Punched out the butterfly (Whale of a Punch) from some decorated paper I made a while back and accented it with Stickles gold. Mounted it to a lavender cardstock. |
Mounted my rectangle script background pieces to streaked alcohol backgrounds then to the pink cardstock. Rubber stamped the word "Mystery" (The Stamping Studio by Roann Mathias) using black Staz On. Punched out the dragonfly and the Sakura flowers from previous decorated paper. Added a stickles center in the flower. |
Same as Mystery, but mounted my 2 squares to a piece of purple cardstock then onto the lavender cardstock. Rubber stamped the word Wonder using an alphabet stamp set (Perfectly Clear Stamps "A La Mode") with Adirondack "Winter Sky". Shadow outlined it with black. Punched out the butterfly and accented with Stickles. The body with a brown 3D fabric paint. |

I rubber stamped the "Orchid Flower (The Artful Stamper) onto a piece of pink toned vellum with a gold stamp pad and Queen's gold embossing powder. Colored it in with Sakura gel pens then cut it out and glued it to my ATC using diamond glaze just on the edges. I rubber stamped the word "Dreams" using an alphabet stamp set (MSE Girlfriends #TT210) with black Staz On. Mounted it to a piece of Purple cardstock. |
I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "As you dream") with black Staz On on the glossy background. Punched out the Sakura flowers from some decorated paper and added a gold Stickles center. Mounted it to a fuchsia cardstock. |
I rubber stamped the dogwood sprig (Magenta Botanicals) on vellum with gold stamp pad and Queen's gold embossing powder. Cut it out and glued it to the ATC with Diamond Glaze just on the edges. Rubber stamped the word "Serenity" (Quietfire Design) with black stamp pad and Marcasite embossing powder. Mounted it to a purple cardstock. |
