Alcohol Background ATCs - Pink (April 2008)

All of these start off with several alcohol ink backgrounds. Usually a streaky one mounted to a mottled one. Check out the samples of the various backgrounds I made creating streaks and mottled patterns. Link at the bottom of the page.

I rubber stamped the floral border image (Hero Arts "Floral Borders") using a purple stamp pad and clear embossing powder. Over stamped my Oriental word images using gold stamp pad and Queen's Gold embossing powder. Cut out the shapes (oval and octagon using Evolving Images "Thangs" shapes). Mounted it to a pale pink Bazill monochromatic cardstock, then onto the mottled background then onto the fuchsia background.

Added the Paddle Punch butterfly and decorated it with some gel pens. Added one of my calligraphic Peel Offs "Friends"

Knotted a piece of Fuchsia colored Mizuhiki cord and glued it to my ATC.

Punched out the small butterfly and Sakura flowers from some hand decorated paper I had previously made.

This is a Spellbinders butterfly that I added some clear glitter on the wings and 3D fabric paint on the body and antennae.

 

I used a bright yellow metallic Quilling strips to create the border section on the fuchsia cardstock. Mounted my main piece and added some pink floral bards at the corners.

NOTE: The "Friends" and other Peel Offs are my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 6 styles available at the moment with another 5 to be available mid May/08. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love". The five for May are; "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary"
