I just got these gorgeous Asian embossing folders by Cuttlebug and had to use them |
ID: Asian - Don't Be Koi |
I started with a piece of thicker rice
paper (washi) and smeared dye inks (Kaleidacolor Blue Breeze rainbow pad)
over it, misted with water and scrunched it up. Dried it and then ran it
through my Cuttlebug with the Japanese Scales folder. I first brayered the
folder with Distress Blue Jeans on one side, then clear embossing it when
it came out of the Cuttlebug. Mounted this to a white cardstock then to a
deep blue cardstock.
Added the Koi Peel Off, one of the latest Elizabeth Craft Design designs for Dec 2009. It was put onto white cardstock, colored with metallic gel pens then cut out and adhered tot he ATC. The words "Don't Be Koi" was cut out with my Cricut using a True Font on white cardstock, then smeared with Blue Jeans and clear embossed.. |

ID: Asian - Screen - Tranquility (unavailable) |
For this ATC I ran a piece of wheat
colored cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Mandarin Screens
folder, first brayering some Versafine Toffee, then embossing it with
Queen's Gold when it came out of the machine. Mounted it to a bright red
cardstock. The Asian lady (Inkadinkado "Asian Influences" set #97616) was stamped onto watercolor paper, with Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed and colored with Tombows. Cut out and adhered to the ATC. Part of the design was too intricate to cut out, so stamped and embossed it onto the ATC and positioned the lady appropriately. Rubber stamped the Oriental characters (Sunday International "Kanji Stamp" set #EWKFS01B) for "Tranquility" onto a polka dotted vellum paper with the black and clear embossing it. Attached it to the ATC with a red star brad. mounted this to a dark burgundy type colored cardstock. |
