ATC A Month - Theme: Halloween or the color Aqua/Turquoise(Oct 2008) Aqua

After taking a gilding class a couple weeks ago, I of course had to included some gilding in these ATC's.

I started with a piece of Arches 90# HP watercolor paper and smeared on white Rheotech Gesso. Left that to dry thoroughly. Then painted it with Lumiere Pear Turquoise mixed with a touch of water. Left that to dry, then sanded it down, a lot. Cut it up into a bit smaller than an ATC size. Rubber stamped single words using Versafine "Deep Lagoon". All the rubber words are from Quietfire Design. Left that to dry overnight, because I found the Versafine, though quick dry, doesn't dry so quick on acrylic painted surfaces... All are mounted to a copper metallic cardstock. All are done with Composition leaf (red/variegated leaf, gold leaf or silver leaf). The butterflies, dragonflies, fiddleheads are stamps from Quietfire Design. The crows on a branch are from Inkadinkado "Halloween Trails", the little flowers on the Inspire ATC is from GG Design (tea cups and tea pots set), the long spiny shell is from Evolving Images.
