So I've done some calligraphy and using those programs, cut them out with the Cricut and made these 2 cards so far. May 14, 2009 I'm in the
gilding mood and have created a bunch of gilded cards. Well besides being
in the mood, I've been creating them as samples for an upcoming gilding
class I'll be doing in August. They're the first three cards in the

May 6, 2009 Took a four day
workshop with Peter Thornton. Pushing the pencil, Pulling the pen and
Decorated letters - Adolf Bernd style. really enjoyed the 4 days. Hope

March 21, 2009 I just took
a 4 day class with Carrie Imai from California. Fabulous. Lots of pen
manipulation, ideas, using different tools, and just a wealth of
information. We learnt the Neuland hand and Big Bad Bone lettering along
with some monolines using the edge of the pen and more stuff. Enjoy.
March 4, 2009 Another card
made for the CBH Challenges. This one uses calligraphy in conjunction with
rubber stamps. Enjoy.

15, & 18, 2009 BVCG Backgrounds - I made a bunch of backgrounds for our
Guild's Galleria this month and have started to use them. The first one is
on a card and it includes a couple origami tea bag flowers. The second one
is a calligraphic broadside using Pan Pastels for the background and an
eraser for the lettering. The third is with onion skins (the real deal). A
fun project with more experimenting in the future. Enjoy.

I had a wonderful response
to my books and cards at a recent Xmas show I participated in.
Since then I have made a few prototypes of gilded cards. These use
composition gold leaf with the "real" gold leaf card available as a
special order. Enjoy.
I
have just finished a four day workshop with Georgia Angelopoulos.
Wonderful. I learnt variations on the Uncial hand and Gilding. I created a
gallery with a couple pages of the exemplars and broadsides done during
these classes. Enjoy.
I've been busy again and also was without internet for a over a week.
Frustrating. I've just uploaded 2 hand bound books I've made. To see all

binding and making it truly a musical journal. Also recently took a class
with Wendy Diedrick called Weight & Texture and I've put the two pieces I
made during that class. I also took a Mini Magenta Class and uploaded all

playing with some xmas glass ornaments and enjoying the results. I've put

I think my ego will be showing here. I just finished another Belgian
eyelet book made in the shape of a heart with fabric and lace. I think
I've surpassed myself. I'm going to be hard pressed to let this one go.

I've
finally bought a couple book binding kits from Quietfire Design. They were
such a breeze to make with well written instructions, diagrams and
templates. Enjoy.
I've finally made my elephant books, which I've been wanting to do for
quite some time. I made a pair, Mother and her baby. Enjoy.
Made several
more journals. One is a hidden Zutter bound journal in a hard cover, one
is circular journal (a little dotty) and one is called Treasure Trove
using Grungeboard hinges. And I just added a Piano Hinge one using
knitting needles. I'm just putting the two main gallery links. Enjoy.
A twist on one of Tim Holtz's techniques that he's got posted on his blog for August. I used glass I cut myself in a similar size to microscope glass. sandwiched the art technique and did some decorative soldering and then suspended it in an ATC format. Enjoy. I've made a bunch of mini booklets. Most are necklaces and one is a stand alone booklet in a box. They are very addictive and I will be making more (which I have now done). I'm only giving the main mini booklet gallery link. Too many pages... Enjoy. I've finally made a hand bound book using some covers I made a couple years ago. Enjoy. I've made a lot of cards using the Pan Pastels as well as adding them to my Nitty Gritty section where I explain what I did. I'm only putting the gallery link since there are about 15+ cards. Enjoy. I uploaded the 2 pieces I entered into the Calgary Stampede Contest this year. Both won a second place ribbon and both done on black paper with gold ink. One is a watercolor decorated letter the other uses Pan pastels for the bamboo shoots. Enjoy. I took a four day workshop with Thomas Hoyer from Germany last weekend using a Ruling Pen, Ruling Writer, doing Flourishes and creating watercolor letters. Fabulous. I've uploaded the samples I made during these classes. Enjoy. I haven't been idle. Using the alcohol inks I created 35+ ATC's. Also have a page with samples of the backgrounds and their color schemes. And finally I've uploaded my Graceful Envelope I entered this year. Enjoy. A friend's mom just passed away and I made this card hoping to cheer her up. It also uses on of my latest Calligraphic Peel Off designs. Enjoy. Another batch of envelopes are uploaded. We're in our 4th month in our envelope exchanges, and I'm loving what everyone has been creating. Every month I upload 3 new envelopes, so check often on this page. Enjoy. I finished 2 calligraphy, 2 day workshops with Roann Mathias. The first one was Beyond Bookhand and the second one was Neuland with the Parallel Pen. I enjoyed them both and came away with some beautiful accordion books filled with what I made during those classes. Enjoy. T hree more "spreads" have been added to the journal round robin gallery which was started in December of 2007. Each month there will be a new spread entered. Enjoy.Just added two cards, a Birthday & a Graduation card. Guy cards are very hard for me to do, but I'm happy with the results. This particular person is into snowboarding and wakeboarding. I created a gate folded card to mimic a cupboard door. The Grad card is a very oversized multi paged card with cut out lettering and using scrapbook papers. They are the first 2 cards in the gallery at the moment. Enjoy.This week's Created By Hand Challenge uses a House Template which I used to create a hand bound book which I absolutely love. I will be continuing to put quotes and artwork into it. Enjoy. I took a 2 day workshop with Lynn Slevinsky. Intensive and fabulous. Made a whole pile of greeting cards. Enjoy.
